Properties and uses

TPD - 540 chelating dispersant is a multi - purpose organic complex. It can soften water quality and complex metal ions during the scouring and bleaching processes. It also serves as a leveling agent and dispersant for reactive dyes, direct dyes, and vat dyes.

• When used as a scouring assistant, it can disperse dirt and impurities, and chelate and disperse calcium and magnesium ions in the scouring liquor. It is beneficial for the removal of pectin, preventing the formation and deposition of insoluble calcium and magnesium salts on the fabric, thereby improving the hygroscopicity and capillary effect of the fibers.
• When used as a bleaching assistant, adding the chelating dispersant to the bleaching liquor has a significant complexing ability for metal ions such as calcium, magnesium, iron, and copper in the bleaching liquor. It can prevent the deterioration of the fabric and the occurrence of holes, and significantly improve the whiteness.
• During dyeing, adding the chelating dispersant can effectively complex calcium and magnesium ions in the dyeing liquor. It has a strong dispersing effect on dyes and coatings, preventing dye precipitation.

Usage

• When used as a scouring assistant: In the scouring liquor, the dosage of TPD-540 is 1 - 4g/L.
• When used as a bleaching assistant: In the bleaching liquor, the dosage of TPD-540 is 2 - 3g/L.
• When used as a dyeing assistant: In the dyeing liquor, the dosage of TPD-540 is 1 - 2g/L.
• When adding the chelating dispersant during soaping, it can prevent color contamination and staining of the white background, with a dosage of 1 - 2g/L.
• When used as a water softening agent, the dosage is 0.05 - 0.1 g/L.
